Physiotherapist – Self-Employed (Part-Time)

Mid Sussex, Lewes & Brighton

The Well Balanced Centre

We’re looking for kind, skilled and compassionate Physiotherapists to join our growing team, supporting patients across Mid Sussex, Lewes and Brighton on a self-employed, part-time basis.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working autonomously, has excellent clinical judgement, and is passionate about helping older adults regain confidence, mobility and independence.

Contract Term: 3-month initial contract, with the view to becoming permanent

Hours: 4–12 hours per week initially

Working Days: Monday–Friday, daytime only

Pay: £25–£30 per hour (dependent on experience)

Travel: Own transport required (mileage paid beyond a 10-mile radius)

About the Role

As a Physiotherapist with The Well Balanced Centre, you will:

  • Plan, implement and manage personalised physiotherapy programmes within patients’ homes
  • Review medical histories, referrals and clinical notes from Surgeons, Doctors and other healthcare professionals
  • Administer high-quality treatments designed to relieve pain, improve function and enhance quality of life
  • Develop tailored rehabilitation plans and set clear, achievable SMART goals
  • Digitally record all patient documentation in line with CSP standards
  • Monitor progress, review outcomes and adapt treatment plans as patients’ needs evolve
  • Take part in regular peer sessions to discuss complex cases and support shared learning

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • HCPC & CSP registration (required)
  • At least 3 years’ experience working within NHS and/or community settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and reassuring manner
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
  • A solid understanding of evidence-based physiotherapy practices
  • The flexibility to support patients with varying levels of need
  • Experience working with older adults and individuals with multiple comorbidities (preferred)
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel locally (100% travel required)
