Physiotherapist – Self-Employed (Part-Time)
Mid Sussex, Lewes & Brighton
The Well Balanced Centre
We’re looking for kind, skilled and compassionate Physiotherapists to join our growing team, supporting patients across Mid Sussex, Lewes and Brighton on a self-employed, part-time basis.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working autonomously, has excellent clinical judgement, and is passionate about helping older adults regain confidence, mobility and independence.
Contract Details
Contract: Self-employed
Contract Term: 3-month initial contract, with the view to becoming permanent
Hours: 4–12 hours per week initially
Working Days: Monday–Friday, daytime only
Pay: £25–£30 per hour (dependent on experience)
Travel: Own transport required (mileage paid beyond a 10-mile radius)
About the Role
As a Physiotherapist with The Well Balanced Centre, you will:
- Plan, implement and manage personalised physiotherapy programmes within patients’ homes
- Review medical histories, referrals and clinical notes from Surgeons, Doctors and other healthcare professionals
- Administer high-quality treatments designed to relieve pain, improve function and enhance quality of life
- Develop tailored rehabilitation plans and set clear, achievable SMART goals
- Digitally record all patient documentation in line with CSP standards
- Monitor progress, review outcomes and adapt treatment plans as patients’ needs evolve
- Take part in regular peer sessions to discuss complex cases and support shared learning
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- HCPC & CSP registration (required)
- At least 3 years’ experience working within NHS and/or community settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and reassuring manner
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- A solid understanding of evidence-based physiotherapy practices
- The flexibility to support patients with varying levels of need
- Experience working with older adults and individuals with multiple comorbidities (preferred)
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel locally (100% travel required)
